The Greenland National Kayaking Championships continue in Nuuk, and Andrew and Dubside bring you another on-the-ground recap after an unforgettable day of the rolling competition.

Recorded late on July 4, 2026, this episode captures the atmosphere at the competition after a long day on the docks, where only two judging stations meant that rolling extended into the evening and many competitors—including members of Team Qajaq USA—will now complete their events on the championships’ scheduled rest day.

Dubside explains the sometimes unpredictable logistics of the competition, shares behind-the-scenes stories from the international competitors, and breaks down what may have been one of the greatest days of rolling ever witnessed in Greenland. Could Sinnii Tobiassen have broken his own world record in a sealskin tuilik? Did Jon David Jenssen or David Täng set a new international benchmark? You’ll hear about breathtaking upside-down paddling distances, lightning-fast speed rolls, and the excitement surrounding the rarely attempted walrus pull, as several international paddlers—including members of Team Qajaq USA—took on one of the championships’ most demanding events.

The episode also introduces the race for Qajaq Man and Qajaq Woman of the Year, as Dubside explains the championship points system and reveals the current standings after the first two scored events.

If you’re following the Greenland National Kayaking Championships, this is your daily source for competition updates, analysis, and behind-the-scenes insight—recorded from the heart of Nuuk as the drama unfolds.
